SUMMARY:ECCS Touchpoints Webinar: Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center State Policy Roadmap
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWhat is a touchpoint?\nA child’s brain undergoes rapid development during the first three years of life, making this period crucial for their overall growth. Each new brain connection formed during this time has been referred to as a “touchpoint,” which is why we named our informational webinar series after this important milestone in a child’s development. Through these hour-long, interactive webinars, our goal is to help you create your own touchpoints across South Dakota, contributing to the healthy development of all the state’s children.\nPrenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center State Policy Roadmap\nPlease join the Center for Prevention of Child Maltreatment at USD and the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center at Vanderbilt University to learn about the PN3 State Policy Roadmap and South Dakota’s progress on policies to ensure a strong start for children. Grounded in the science of the developing child and based on the most rigorous evidence available, the Roadmap details the state actions that foster the nurturing environments infants and toddlers need and that reduce disparities in access and outcomes. \nPresenters: Cynthia Osborne, PhD, Executive Director and Professor of Early Childhood Education and Policy at Peabody College at Vanderbilt University\n\n\n
