CARRIE MEES graduated from South Dakota University School of Law in 2004. Carrie began working for the Minnehaha County State’s Attorney, as a criminal prosecutor, after passing the bar exam. Carrie prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases for a year. In 2006, feeling a pull towards working to improve the lives of the most vulnerable, she transitioned into prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases almost exclusively.  Carrie serves on the Court Improvement Program (CIP) Committee, the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT), Family Services Inc., and Teen Court. Carrie is married to Chris and has a home in Harrisburg, together they are raising their daughter Mady, who is a freshman at Harrisburg High School.
