Understanding the Landscape of Family Support Services

This session will provide information on support services for families offered by the Helpline Center including childcare search, substance use care coordination, 211, 988, and suicide loss and aftercare. The presenter will also demonstrate how to utilize the Helpline Center’s online community resource directory to search and find support services and agencies anywhere in South Dakota for all types of need including transportation, food, legal aid, financial assistance, mental health providers, and education programs.

Trainer: Shauna Batcheller, Helpline Center

Shauna Batcheller is the Care Coordination Program Director at the Helpline Center. She has a passion for implementing innovative and effective programs that improve people’s health and well-being. Much of her time is spent building the relationships needed to integrate our systems of care. Shauna is Certified in Public Health, Nonprofit Management, and is a Certified Resource Specialist. She obtained her Masters in Social Science in Community Health from the University of Colorado Denver.
