Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
This session will cover reporting suspected child abuse/neglect, screening of child abuse/neglect reports, present danger and impending danger, and initial family assessment safety model.
Trainer: JoLynn Bostrom, SD Department of Social Services, Division of Child Protective
JoLynn began working at the Department of Social Services, Division of Child Protection in July 2002. She has held the positions of Social Worker, Lead Social Worker, Supervisor, Protective Services Program Specialist, and is currently the Administrator of Services for Families. JoLynn is responsible for the oversight of the agency’s Comprehensive Safety Intervention Model, Centralized Intake Unit, Administrative Hearings, Out of Home Investigations, and child fatalities or near fatalities. JoLynn is on several workgroups through the agency and represents South Dakota as the State’s Liaison Officer for child welfare.
