The opinions, statements, conclusions, and recommendations expressed in this session are those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the conference hosts.

The discussion of turn over and employee retention does not lie with the individual alone. A true restorative approach to the reduction of vicarious trauma and burnout requires a collaborative effort between the staff and their organization. Through this session we will identify what to look for in ourselves and others in the workplace, the ‘red flags’ of trouble on the horizon; and we will discussion how organizations can begin to shift their approach to create a healing informed workplace culture. Attendees for this session will better understand what to look for regarding the impact of the work, and what innovative steps can be taken to the development of a trauma informed organization.
