National and local narcotic trends are ever changing. This presentation will outline the types, uses, and effects of common narcotics being consumed in South Dakota. The United States as a whole and even small community in South Dakota is being faced with a new epidemic, fentanyl. While methamphetamine is still prevalent in our communities, fentanyl usage has increased exponentially in recent years. The goal of this presentation is to be able identify opioids, methamphetamine, and the signs of usage while interacting with members of your community.
